Senior Angular/Java Developer - WatchList

Build the tools that power credit risk oversight — frontend-first, full stack impact!

Porto-based opportunity with hybrid work model.

As a Senior Angular/Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading banking group, as part of an extended Porto/Paris team within the IT Risk department, specifically Credit Risk. You will work on WatchList, a Java-backed, Angular-driven application, with your main focus on the frontend in a full-stack role.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain frontend features for the WatchList application using Angular.
• Contribute to backend development and integration using Java and Spring.
• Collaborate with an extended Porto/Paris team to deliver features within the Credit Risk domain.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best development practices.
• Use Git and Maven for version control and build management.
• Support continuous integration pipelines using tools such as XL Deploy, XL Release and Jenkins.
• Write and maintain SQL queries to support application functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full stack.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• A degree in Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 3-6 years of experience with Java and object-oriented programming.
• Good understanding of Spring framework tools (Spring Core, Spring Boot).
• Strong Angular experience (3-6 years) — this is a fullstack role with a frontend focus.
• Knowledge of Git and Maven.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools: XL Deploy, XL Release, Jenkins.
• Knowledge of SQL.

Language required for the role:

• Fluent English.
