Senior Business Analyst – Banking & Agile Expertise

Lisbon-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 2 remote days per week).

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the banking sector, supporting their digital transformation initiatives within an Agile environment. You will shape requirements, enable seamless communication between stakeholders and technical teams, and contribute to innovative financial solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

• Analyze and gather business requirements to develop clear functional specifications and user stories.
• Create and maintain detailed test documentation, execute tests, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Write comprehensive functional and technical documentation to support project clarity.
• Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to align project goals and solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to translate business needs into technical architecture.
• Utilize SQL queries to assist in data analysis and validation processes.
• Understand and contribute to the technical architecture to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Work proactively within Agile methodologies, contributing to sprint planning and backlog grooming.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Proven expertise in requirements analysis, functional specifications, user stories, and test documentation.
• Strong communication skills in English (Communicative level) and French (C1 proficiency).
• Good knowledge of SQL queries and database modeling.
• Solid understanding of technical architecture.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Proactive, autonomous, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in the banking industry.
• Knowledge of parametrization and configuration processes.

Language Required for the role:

• English (Communicative level)
• French (C1 proficiency)
