Senior Data Analyst

Monitor data for greater impact 

This is a hybrid role, 2x in the office in Porto and 3x from home

As a Data Analyst, you will be working for Client – a world leader in corporate and investment banking. You will be responsible for supporting data quality initiatives and regulatory requirements as well as participating in data monitoring activities

Your main responsibilities: know financial data impact

• Set up quarterly closing sessions
• Propose new controls to be implemented or to evolve existing controls 
• Analyze the needs of internal partners
• Perform database queries to assess results
• Test and launch new controls into production
• Controlling the data acquisition & treatment of the financial chain 
• Act as a guarantor of the data model of the dataset feeding the production systems
• Detect anomalies & analyze the root causes
• Reporting and monitoring of financial ratios
• Defining corrective short and long-term actions
• Writing and updating operational procedures
• Support the data sourcing activities.

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience working in Data Analysis or similar roles
• Strong background in a quantitative discipline or finance
• Ability to manage projects independently
• Advanced data modelling skills
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Quicksight
• Advanced SQL skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills in English;

Will be an advantage if you have:

• Advanced degree in a core STEM subject
• Programming skills in Python and other relevant languages
