Senior QA Automation Engineer – Trade Finance Focus

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer – Trade Finance Focus, you will be working for our client, a leading financial technology provider dedicated to transforming trade finance processes. Your expertise will ensure that innovative software solutions meet rigorous quality standards, enabling seamless trade operations and advancing digital banking services. Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive non-regression test factory leveraging Playwright to ensure software stability.
• Validate features delivered during each sprint through automated testing, identifying and reporting defects efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translating them into effective test scenarios.
• Design and manage test frameworks, test data, and automation scripts to optimize testing processes.
• Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements to enhance overall quality.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing activities and defect reports to support transparency and continuous improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new tools, and best practices in test automation and trade finance.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in software testing and QA, including extensive test automation.
• Proven expertise with automated testing tools such as Playwright and Cypress.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in functional, regression, and integration testing, with defect management proficiency.
• Familiarity with Trade Finance activities (guarantees, documentary credits, loans, import/export operations) is a must.
• Technical proficiency with web technologies (HTTP, REST APIs), database concepts (SQL), and test management tools (JIRA, Xray or similar).
• Ability to design test frameworks and manage test data effectively.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in large-scale or complex projects within financial services or trading.
• Knowledge of additional scripting languages or testing tools.
• Certifications related to QA or test automation.
• Exposure to Trade Finance processes beyond core testing knowledge.

Language Required for the role :

• Fluent English (spoken and written).
