As a Senior Playwright QA Engineer – Bilingual in French, you will be working for our client, a leading financial services group, dedicated to delivering robust digital solutions for management, insurance, and financial operations. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications at the intersection of business and technology, contributing to impactful digital transformation initiatives.
Your main responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
- Manage test plans, test cases, and test executions within Xray (Jira), ensuring full traceability from requirements to defects.
- Perform manual exploratory, functional, regression, and integration testing to validate web application functionalities.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, and Business Analysts (mainly in French and English) to understand requirements and define clear acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, and track bugs within Jira, ensuring timely resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) for continuous feedback.
- Promote QA best practices, participate in code reviews, and contribute to ongoing process enhancement.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in QA engineering or software testing.
- Proven expertise in creating automated tests with Playwright using Node.js, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with Xray for test management within Jira.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs (using tools like Postman, Bruno, or Playwright).
- Proficiency with Git version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills in both French and English.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with up to 3 remote days per week.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber/Gherkin.
- Knowledge of performance or load testing (e.g., with k6 or Playwright).
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
Language Required for the role:
- Fluent in French (both written and spoken).
- Professional fluency in English.
