Senior Financial Market Business Analyst

As a Senior Financial Market Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leader in financial services innovation. You will play a pivotal role in analyzing and optimizing market operations, bridging technical solutions with front-office needs, and driving strategic growth in the dynamic world of financial trading and electronic platforms. Your main responsibilities:

• Analyze financial market participants, products, and trading workflows to optimize operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with front-office teams, translating their needs into technical requirements and solutions.
• Investigate technical issues by parsing logs via Unix commands, executing SQL queries, and developing Python scripts as needed.
• Support the integration and enhancement of Forex and electronic trading platforms.
• Work within an agile environment, adopting and promoting Agile principles across your tasks and projects.
• Communicate effectively in English and Portuguese with international stakeholders and technical teams.
• Manage multiple tasks independently, demonstrating leadership in your subject area.
• Liaise with developers and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in financial markets, trading systems, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial market players and products, especially Forex and electronic trading.
• Proficiency in SQL and Unix commands, with experience developing and troubleshooting scripts.
• Technical inclination, comfortable working with logs, debugging issues, and developing Python solutions.
• Excellent command of English and Portuguese, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and lead projects within an agile framework.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Experience with Python development and automation.
• Familiarity with financial regulatory requirements and compliance.
• Certifications relevant to financial analysis or technical IT skills.

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent English and Portuguese.
