This is a Hybrid Lisbon-based opportunity.

As a Cobol Developer, you will work for our client – a well-known French group in the financial sector. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining COBOL applications, integrating with DB2 databases, and collaborating with our French-speaking clients and colleagues.

Your main responsibilities:

Develop and maintain COBOL applications, ensuring they meet project requirements and quality standards
Work closely with DB2 databases, including data retrieval, updates, and optimization
Collaborate with French-speaking clients and team members to understand and address their technical needs
Debug and resolve application issues and defects, providing efficient solutions
Write clear and concise documentation for code and processes

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

Proficiency in COBOL programming.
Strong experience with DB2 databases, including SQL queries and performance tuning
Fluency in French
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality code
